Ready for a change?
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my page!
We spend so much time on the Internet, with almost unlimited places to explore, and yet something brought you here today. In some way, life hasn't turned out exactly as you planned but you're not ready to give up. I've often found that, no matter the diagnosis, the folks I work with feel disconnected, dissatisfied, and struggle to move forward in their lives in meaningful ways.
They might worry so much about the future that they lie awake at night or miss out on special moments with their partners, kids, or friends.
Many feel overwhelmed or unmotivated and end up spending time on their phones (or any screen) instead of getting active, participating in their community, or picking up a fun hobby. Concentration and focus are difficult.
Maybe they're going to work, caring for their family, keeping up on basic responsibilities but they're not sure how much longer they can; they're exhausted. Life has lost its vibrancy.
The common denominator is that my clients feel "stuck." I'm here to help with skills and tools to get you "un-stuck" but what that ultimately looks like is entirely up to you!
Our work together will be centered around what you want to focus on and improve in your life. Just like personal training, I'll often give you exercises or tools to practice outside of our sessions so you can get the most out of our time together. My hope is that you'll have all the confidence and skills to navigate your life and eventually you won't need therapy (with the flexibility to return when you need to).
A little about me:
I have a Master's degree in Social Work and I am in private practice full-time. Prior to therapy, I worked mainly in hospital systems helping patients and families navigate resources and support. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. I also hold a Horticultural Therapy Certificate. Populations I've worked with include healthcare providers/first responders, military-connected individuals, folks in the veterinary field, new moms, college students, individuals going through divorce, young professionals, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
If you have questions or would like to get started, please reach out to me! I am available by text, email, or direct booking. Generally, we'll start by scheduling a free, 15 minute call or video chat to learn more about one another (this is your chance to interview me as well). Then we can set up our first session if you're comfortable moving forward.
